We introduced the adjustable carb adapter in the early 80's. It quickly became the standard of the industry.
 Brzezinski Racing Products’ Phenolic Resin Adapters insulate the carburetor from engine heat, resulting in much cooler, more dense air/fuel mixture which produces more horsepower! Insulating the carb is especially an advantage on cast-iron intakes where lack of an air dam under the carburetor (as found in most aluminum intakes) causes engine heat to be a major problem. This condition is further complicated when running cylinder heads with an exhaust crossover passage. The insulating properties of the phenolic resin allow for more consistent performance through temperature extremes. Spacers and adapters come in a standard thickness of 1".

- 4 1/4" center to center (inside) bolt pattern is found on all Q-Jet and Bow-Tie Marine cast-iron manifolds. Some aluminum open plenum intakes also have “inside pattern”.
- Bow-Tie Marine cast-iron, Holley type cast-iron and aluminum after-market intakes have 5 5/32" center to center (outside) bolt pattern.
