Our straight plug ’492 head features better air flow than the older castings, is machined for screw-in studs and can be machined for 1.94” or 2.02” intake valves and 1.50” or 1.60” exhaust valves.
Stock ’492 heads flow 206 cfm intake and 141 cfm on the exhaust. If you must maintain a stock looking port, consider our “UnderCover Porting”. An “UnderCover Ported” ’492 will flow 225-230 cfm intake and 160 cfm exhaust. This flow improvement will add 15 to 25 horsepower to your engine. CNC Sportsman Ported ’492 heads will flow about 245/250 cfm intake and 175 cfm exhaust.
