 Mounted Points are an abrasive stone mounted on 1/4" diameter shank. Use in place of messy cartridge rolls to finish port after roughing out with carbide cutter.
How are Mounted Points better than cartridge rolls?
Mounted Points actually remove rough carbide grinding marks and give you a nice finish texture. Cartridge rolls only polish the port and remove very little metal.
How long will the Mounted Points last?
One Mounted Point may finish an entire head. When it becomes too small, use it to deburr parts. Mounted Points remove grinding marks, give a nice finish and allow shaping of the port as it is polished. Mounted Points are hard enough to blend the short side radius into the seat without wearing away. |
